The magic of New York City is inexpressible. If you’ve been you know first hand the fortifying energy this city emits. If you are blessed to have time off in the Big Apple, or are planning a getaway – there are many places to go and see. When coming into port, you will see the Statue of Liberty on your left if you are arriving by boat from the south.

In Central Park, visitors can eat at The Loeb Boathouse. Also available are little row boats you can rent for around $20.00. Bring a few crewmates and row a boat right in the park with a gorgeous city backdrop.

If you would like to see a view of the city – the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller allow you to go all the way to the top for a bird’s eye view.

Times Square and 5th Ave are a shopper’s dream spot. In Times Square, you will see people in cartoon characters everywhere, people trying to sell comedy shows, and a naked cowboy that everyone wants a picture with. Welcome to New York. 5th Ave is the high-end shopping with everyone brand and name you can think of. (Also, probably will be the area where one of your charter guests will send you to pick up their shopping order of Chanel, Hermes, Armani, Bergdorf Goodman, etc.)

Unfortunately, September 11, 2001, was an extremely tough and horrific day for the city due to the attacks on the World Trade Center Buildings. Many lives were lost and affected. It took 15 years to rebuild and reopen to the public. If you have a day off, go and visit this somber memorial site and museum that is dedicated to those who lost their lives and those who risk their lives to rescue and help. Bring the tissues.

Right near Chelsea Piers is an old railroad line that was turned into a 1.45-mile-long walking path called the High Line. It has beautiful views of greenery everywhere. Speaking of greenery, if you fancy playing golf right at Chelsea Piers is a Golf Range. Take a swing right next to the yachts!

Casual yet exotic, Food Gallery 32 is a multi-cultural food court concept restaurant located on 32nd Street between Broadway and 5th Ave in Manhattan, NY. It is the largest restaurant in Korea Town and has a 2nd and 3rd-floor dining area. You can have a meal, dessert, and drink all at the same time. If you’re looking for bubble tea and a bao bun this is your spot.

For a real classic Korean Bibimbap check out Mandoo Bar, you will know it when you see it by the chef whipping up dumplings in the front window. This no-frills establishment is bright, airy, and clean with excellent customer service.

If you need strong java served with a smile Birch Coffee is the place to go. Each latté is made with double shots and all of the staff are coffee lovers themselves. Try their cold brew, it will kick you in the behind.

Ramini Coffee & Espresso Bar, located down the street from the famous MOOD fabrics store, offers up home-baked goods, cookies, and squares alongside their Parallel 49 coffee from Vancouver BC.

If you love the boutique hotel experience, The Evelyn Hotel has recently completed renovations offering up a cozy and unique getaway in the heart of New York City.

Although there are many places to be recommended where to go, Cafe Wha? is at the top of our list as far as experiences count. This energetic underground bar is the former hangout of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Allen Ginsberg and many others.

The Seaglass Carousel in Battery park is open 7 days a week from 10 am – 10 pm (including Labor Day) and tickets are only $5. It’s especially spectacular when lit up at night.
