Itinerary: Busy Mediterranean Season 2024

 

Deckhand Role:
Ideal candidates will have a Merchant Mariner Credential and 1-2 years experience in a similar role. 

Salary: $3,500/m

42 Days off Per Year

The Deck duties consist of 90% deck work and 10% assisting with Interior needs such as service.

They would prefer crew members who hold an EU passport or can stay in the EU beyond the new 90-day limit, such as having a seaman's book in hand or entry-level Merchant Mariner credentials for a US citizen.

2nd stewardess with housekeeping experience OR HOH with service experience to do:

 

  1. A temp stint onboard, for a 2-week owner trip Early May 2024 in the Bahamas.

  2. Work at the owner’s residence in Canada for July & August 2024

 

This candidate will join our service team for a 2-week trip to meet the owners and gain an understanding of the service style etc.

 

This candidate must be equally strong in housekeeping as service, as the role at the house in Canada is a dynamic one where the candidate would embody both departments, working alongside one of our Head Chefs,

and 2 full time house staff. They have this setup for July and August as they like to host quite frequently during this period.

 

This person needs to be presentable, enthusiastic, hardworking, positive demeanor, energetic, and needs to be flexible and happy to jump in, be a team player and go where needed.

There is a great team on board with lots of experience and knowledge to share.

 

The owners are good and charismatic people, and this would be a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate.

It could certainly lead to repeat visits at the house during these months.

This could be ideal for someone who is trying to move more to a shore-based role.

 

Must be Canadian/ Canadian Resident or a working visa in order to work at the house in Canada.

Itinerary: South Florida based with Bahamas Trips

Itinerary: Fall, Winter, and Spring in SE Florida with frequent trips to Fisher Island and the Bahamas.

Package: Independent Contractor. 4 Weeks paid vacation per year.

 

The ideal candidate for the captain position should reside in the Fort Lauderdale-Boca Raton area. This is a non-live-aboard role while the vessel is docked behind the owner's house.

He/she should be an efficient, self-motivated professional with an intentional, yet easy-going approach to running a dynamic program.

Additionally, the candidate should possess a keen attention to detail, be highly organized, and have experience in running an active program for a well-experienced boat owner. The candidate must hold a USCG 200 Ton Master license or higher.

 

Experience and Attributes Required:

  • Knowledge of South Florida and the Bahamas waters. Candidates must have excellent crew management, administrative, and budgeting skills, as well as fantastic references from previous Captain or First Officer positions.

  • The candidate will have previous experience running a vessel of similar size (or larger) and have some solid engineering knowledge/experience.

  • Hands-on, team leadership skills

  • Excellent boat handling and navigational skills

  • Guest management experience

  • Excellent communication skills

The owner keeps the 9X Persian vessel in SE Florida behind his house in Harbor Beach when the vessel is not in Cleveland, Ohio.

General itinerary: Fall, Winter, and Spring in Florida with frequent trips to Fisher Island and the Bahamas. Summers (June-September) are spent based out of Cleveland (Crew accommodation and a vehicle are provided)

The owner is a generous person who takes good care of his crew and is looking for a long-term fit. He has been boating for approximately 40 years and is very experienced in handling boats himself, including driving and docking them. He has high standards when it comes to maintaining his vessels and spares at no expense to ensure that they always look and operate like new.

Salary will be based on experience. However, the owner will go above for the right candidate and longevity.
Incentives: Year-end Bonus structured - vehicle provided
