The Best Granola Ever

This coveted granola recipe from our Yacht Chef friend Kelsey is much loved by both guests and crew alike. It can be made en masse in advance and sealed in airtight containers or stored in cute jars for guest giveaways or gifts.



Kelsey Struppe Sept 1, 2018 Prep Time:10 minutes Cook time:20 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes Yields: 5 x 1 Gallon Zip Locks


Ingredients:

Dry Mixture:

30 Cups of Oats

2 Cups of Sunflower Seeds

1 Cup Pumpkin Seeds

1 Cup Pine Nuts

1 Cup Chia Seeds

3 Cups Finely Chopped Almonds

3 Cups Finely Chopped Walnuts

3 Cups Finely Chopped Pecans

1 Cup Hemp Hearts

1/4 Cup Poppy Seeds

Wet Mixture:

4.5 tsp Salt

2 1/4 Cups Maple Syrup

2 1/4 Cup Honey

3 Cups Coconut Oil

3 tbsp Cinnamon

3 tbsp Vanilla Extract

1 tbsp Ground Nutmeg

Extras:

2 Cups Toasted Coconut

6 Cups Raisins (or craisins, or dried fruit of your choice, or a mixture of all, etc.)

Directions:

Evenly mix dry ingredients together in large bowls.

Heat the Wet Mixture together in a saucepan on the stove top.

Combine the dry and wet mixtures until all of the dry ingredients are well coated.

Spread on trays and bake for 160 degrees Celcius / 320 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Stir halfway through.

Cool and add the extra ingredients of toasted coconut and raisins. Makes 5 x 1 Gallon Ziplock bags.
